Hi colinco would you mind providing a little more info in what way do you feel the T4 is better designed than the H1?
OK - the first thing is the size of the body. The H1 is large for a mirror-less. Maybe not important if you don't travel or don't mind the weight. But many times I left it at home.
I see I understand your personal travel situation. I on the other hand also traveling for photoshoots and carry a D4 and previously a Pentax K1 and (to me) the XH1 still feels like a feather with the 16 1.4 😃
Now when I go out on vacation and want to go truly light I just take my X10. I guess everyone has different preferences.
Second is the easy switch from video to stills and back. On the H1 there were a lot of things you had to do to switch over. And again that may not be a show stopper but for me, with lots of camera settings to remember, that is great. Looking forward to having the grandkids over again when I will be using both modes lots in quick succession.
The only switch implementation that REALLY annoyed me was the XH1 EVF/LCD. Do you still have to press that tiny button four or five times to get to where you want?
And a more minor point is that easy HDR. Don't remember it being that simple on the H1. Can it combine them in camera? Don't remember it being able to do that. Certainly not with one switch.
I think my main point is that it isn't any one feature that makes you like one camera over another, rather a series of things that make it either easier to use or to take better photos. And much of that is, of course, very personal.
I've now sold my H1 to part fund this X4. No regrets at all. Will be interesting to see how and if Fuji trump this with an H2.....
I notice that you didn’t say anything about the grip, do you find the T4 grip more comfortable than the H1?
