As soon as you add a large, GX8 class EVF to a GX7, you’ve got a GX8. Much of the slightly larger size of the GX8 (mainly a few mm taller) is due to the larger EVF. I have both and the difference really isn’t that great, but the GX8 is just a better handling camera with better external controls, except for that dedicated exposure compensation dial.

The GX7’s handgrip is great. I’d love to see that return in some form over those squarish grips.

This year, a GX8 Mark II is due, not another GX7. So, the GX10 just needs to be a GX8 with a G95 / G9 feature set… or a close as possible.

GX8 slightly taller and wider than GX7 to accommodate larger EVF.

They could add the larger evf of the GX8, just remove the flash and center the hotshoe. A clip on flash should suffice. I never missed the flash on my XE2, XE3, or XPRO2.

A larger EVF is taller. Whether it slides over left or right. A taller EVF would make the camera taller. There's no way around it. It's a matter of engineering.

The fully articulated LCD makes the GX8 a bit wider, too.

Panasonic is better off giving the GX8 body a FF sensor. Keep the GX7 MkIV small.

I agree. I'd love to see a GX8 inspired S1.
