1. Lose the dedicated exp comp dial.

Panasonic hasn't leaned into the retro look like Fuji and the PEN-F and I think they should stay out of it. I love the ergonomics and function-first mantra of their cameras and I really want them to drop the exposure dial comp on the next iteration of the GX. Right now the GX9's exp comp dial is stiff and only good for +/- 3 stops. I prefer to use the command dial but that's in a slightly awkward position. In terms of ergonomics, the GX7 was so much better.

2. Improve the grip and use a BIGGER BATTERY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The grip on the GX7 was perfect and they messed it up on the GX85 and 9. Go back to the original or, better yet, make it a bit bigger and use the same (bigger) battery as the G85/95. Or, even better, the same battery as the G9.

3. Improve the EVF but...only if it can be done without a significant size increase.

4. Keep the built-in flash.

5. Stick to the single-axis rear screen OR dual-axis but without a flip-out style.

For me, the camera's fantastic suitability for street photography comes down to its small size, fast start-up time (and power switch placement), fast S-AF, and that flip-up rear screen. And in some situations, the tilting EVF, so...

6. Keep the tilting EVF.

7. Add 3 Custom modes on the dial.

8. Add an additional customizable func button or switch.

9. Improve constant AF for video and still shooting.

10. Add highlight protection exposure mode like on the G9.

11. Add live composite shooting with raw file output.

12. MAKE THE REAR BUTTONS STICK OUT MORE!!!!!!!!!

13. Total fantasy: built-in Godox radio master flash controller.

14. 4k 60FPS.

15. Weather sealing is nice to have but it's not something I need.

16. Add Constant AF for video as one of the options for the Quick Menu.

17. Add Snap Focus as found on Ricoh GR cameras.

In Snap Focus mode, when you press the shutter release all the way down in one quick motion, the camera sets the lens's focus to a preset distance (specified by the photographer) and fires. But if you half-press first, it will AF, and then fire when you press the rest of the way. This is FANTASTIC for street shooting and would immediately make it that much more desirable as a street shooter.

18. Emulate Fuji's Classic Chrome colour setting.
