So the results are...

...no where near in yet

Thanks for those who contributed really good thoughts and opinions. Lots of aspects and options there I hadn't considered. I replied to a few of you in individual comments, but to sum up my options now:

  1. Make the 3 lens set a 2 lens set i.e. ditch the 35 - cash positive
  2. Viltrox 85 - cash neutral, heavy and no aperture ring
  3. Fuji 90 - cash negative, heavy
  4. Samyang 85mm - cash neutral but no aperture ring, manual focus
  5. Fuji 60mm - just about cash neutral, nice lens I have owned before, but is it really long enough?
  6. Fuji 50-230 - interesting, cash positive (if I buy used and trade the 50). Good IQ at middle apertures out to about 150mm. OK it's not a prime and has no aperture ring, but would make a super-light (<500g) but flexible mountain landscape outfit with the 16 f/2.8.
  7. And as soon as I open up the door to zooms.... in steps the Fuji 16-80. Could be very cash positive if I replace 16,35,50 & 16-55. Almost as light as any 2 of those primes. Perhaps I am wrong but it seems to have a bit of a luke-warm reputation though?
  8. Canon 85 f/1.8 - cash neutral (if I buy used and trade the 50). Have used before on my Fringer, I found it to be pretty good. Weight is 425g+140g oops a bit more than Fuji 90mm

2-5 are out for me - all good lenses but too compromised in one or more areas of cash, weight or capability (specifically for my use-case). I am still leaning away from zooms but may be will try to hire/borrow some of the remaining options.

Keep safe everybody.
