Hi to all,

I need your advice regarding what a 27 inch 4K monitor I should choose for ca 1000 USD.

I'm planning to use it mostly for editing of photos/videos,

By my calculation, that's 163 pixels/inch, which is beyond what we can see for "pixel-level" sharpness adjustments.

That level of resolution seems like a waste of money for photo-processing.

I was also told the same about 1080p vs 720p. You can't see more pixels than 720p. Which, maybe, yeah you can't clearly see individual pixels from normal viewing distances on a 720p monitor, but the 1080p monitor clearly has a better more detailed issue. 4k is much the same, it has an obviously better image than 1080p, even at sizes smaller than 27".

720p is good, 1080p is great, 4k is visibly better on screens this size.

A decade ago, many people thought you couldn't see the difference between 720p and 1080p. It's just the way it is. I'm not joking about that.
