I agree.

I still have an EF 70-300 4-5.6 IS USM from 2008 that cost just £350. It worked amazingly well for motorsport and Red Arrow aerial displays with my crop DSLR and was a great workhorse. I have it adapted with the Fringer Pro Gen 1 however the AF can be a bit erratic with the Fuji.

They need to make an XC 70-300 for around £4-500 IMO. People who purchase an XTxxx or XA line are not going to spend £1500 on a 100-400. The 200 isn't quite long enough.

Hasn't the XC 50-230 been discontinued?
