Is there any possibility at all that Nikon will grant us the ability to record 10-bit 4:2:2 internally via a firmware update?

Would seriously love to see that capability. Other manufacturers have shown that it should be possible on their mirrorless cameras.

What do you guys think?

Not possible due to insufficient computing power. I don't know of any FX hybrid that can do that yet aside from the S1H.

What's so special about FX? DX cameras from Fuji can record internal FLog, which I assume is 10-bit.

Good question, but so far there are almost no FX cameras that can do what you want.

Other companies have cinema lines to protect. Nikon does not. It is strange for Nikon to not have internal 10bit. Many be they are adding that in Z6 version2.

When Nikon comes up with a mirrorless camera that can do internal 10-bit recording is the time I will upgrade my Z6.
