Re: Black Magic pocket film camera

Hi Cineguy,

a BMPCC (1st Version) takes great videos - but editing the flat prores files is quite a task.
I used to use "film convert" to slap on some color-presets.
Editing from scratch with "davinci resolve" takes some getting used to.

Do not forget that batterylife really is not great on the bmpcc -
you will need either a bunch of extra batteries or an external batterypack.

I suppose you are aware of all that ...

I switched from a bmpcc to a nikon V1. Sounds like a stupid thing to do, but I reckon the V1 is underrated. With a flat picture style and the iso cranked up to 800, the V1 is capable of pretty good video - at least in good, natural light. Kinda a no budget bmpcc with great autofocus and batterylife (d600 battery) as well as a mic input

Hope it kinda helps. Take care.
