Are you pressing the Exposure Compensation button, on the 4 way controller, then Info to get to the Highlights and Shadows?

The numbers I mention are adjacent to the little graph that appears on the screen. Even my old EPM1 and EPL5 have those numbers, so, I would assume that the EM10II will have them also.

Adjusting the shadows is a matter of taste but be aware that when set to 0 (zero) the camera will still produce deep blacks.

Ahah!  Wasn't even aware that there was an explosure compensation button on the 4 way controller - nothing is marked.

Somehow for all these years I've been able to compensate without using that button!

I use exposure compensation all the time.  I'm usually worked in Manual so I just adjust either the shutter speed or aperture to get what I want!
