Lately in Hong Kong, a dog from an infected family had entrusted local authority to look after it, was dead after returned home, recently confirmed to have been infected.

At the present moment, still not sure could an infected dog be able to spread the virus to human yet. But a dog can be infected by human or a virus present environment has been confirmed. It might imply our pets could be vulnerable too.

This is unexpected from what I learnt from Dr Jeff of Rocky Mountain Vet the TV show.

FYI.

There are now two cases of pets getting COVID-19 in HK. In the second case the owner had two pets.  Both pets, a German Shepherd plus one other, were tested for COVID-19. Both were quarantined. The GSD tested positive and the other, a mongrel tested negative.
