That's how Panasonic does wysiwyg. If you set ss to 1/15 then the screen will refresh every 1/15 of a second. The camera does this up to the sensors native refresh rate (1/30 or so). This means that the preview is accurate because it's showing the actual exposure. Other camera companies simulate the preview so the refresh is constant, but it may not reflect the actual exposure or be as accurate as.
