First F1 pictures - Oulton Park Gold Cup 1968

In the "good old days" F1 used to hold non-championship events as well as Grand Prix. The first meeting I went to was the Oulton Park Gold Cup in 1968. Up until that point my dad had taken me to the odd club event but never anything like this.

My photographic equipment was an Halina 35x using Agfa slide film. I only took a few pictures from the meeting which you had to when you had to buy film and was still at school !.

This was the year of major sponsorship appearing on cars and wings starting tall before being restricted later on.

Ulf Norinder in Lola T70

Looking at the photos again Oulton Park 50 years later doesn't seem to have changed a great deal (thankfully) :-).
