New M6ii initial thoughts

After a longtime pondering, I finally decided to buy an M6ii. A couple of months back I sold my 6D because I wanted to go mirrorless, smaller and lighter. I had expected to get an RP but after finally holding one in person recently I decided it was still too big for me, and with the required adapter almost no lighter than the 6D. The reason I didn't rush to replace the 6D was that I have an M100 travel camera and was so impressed with it that I was using the 6D much less anyway; despite the very annoying lack of ISO shutter control.
Anyway, I nervously bought an M6ii a few days ago. Nervously because for my type of shooting I don't expect any noticeable difference in image quality over the M100, so worried that I would end up regretting it. Here in Panama it cost $899 for the M6ii with kit lens and EVF (from Canon) which is pretty good but still a lot to spend for potentially no difference in IQ. But, after a few days i'm super happy with it. The feel of it, the grip, usability and dials is amazing. Its just really enjoyable to hold and use. The AF is amazing and the drive speed nothing like i've used before. It still has the noise of a crop sensor at higher ISO's but i'm getting used to it and the 30mm 1.4 certainly helps. Now I can finally get on and start learning off camera flash given the M100 doesn't have a hot shoe.
My only little annoyances so far are that I can't use the back dial for shutter/aperture and the menu system for changing to digital shutter (which requires also first changing the drive to single shot) and Raw-burst; although the latter I put on the M-fn button.
Thanks to all in this forum. The various posts about the M6ii were really helpful.
