Think it is overpriced for what it is. I will stick with my Sigma 35 mm F1.4 Art lens as I think it is great on my Z6. You can pick up a used Sigma 35 mm F1.4 Art for about half the price of a 35mm F1.8 S lens.
I would have liked a more affordable and compact 24mm,28mm,35mm and 50mm F2.8 set lenses for the Nikon Z6/7
That's the thing, they are preparing a smaller and lighter 28mm, so I don't know if I wait for it or take the 35mm f1.8 once the coronavirus crisis is finished
That pancake 28 won’t even be close to 1.8. For street photography, any difference in light gathering between 1.4 and 1.8 is mitigated by the excellent ibis in the Z bodies.
The 50mm gets all the raves, but the 35 and 24 great lenses as well. While they don’t get the raves, it’s hard to name any better.
Yep and 50mm is too narrow for landscape and travel
