I have the M6 with 1.0.0 version, will get the update done, but this camera does what it does best in its class. I cant really find any faults with it as such. Obviously with the more expensive cameras they have alot of other features to offer which this one doesn't. But i wonder how many really use all those features to their full potential anyway.
Most of us are just happy in our comfort zone with what settings we used to using.
Spot on Ian. I did finally succumb the charms of the M6 II, when a bit of spare cash got the better of me. But quickly set my menu parameters to zones of familiarity from the use of the M6. Especially with regards to ‘Picture Style’ looselybased on Marco P’s suggestions as a starting point. Then it is down to software and my personalised batch processing script to hone the best result from that provided by the camera. Simplifying everything, it is just a box with a hole in it surrounded by a degree of control, for goodness sake.
Yes , getting to know which picture style suits your photography best works quite well with the M6...This box with the hole in it takes amazing shots, and if you are creative enough, you can get some brilliant results.
