Here in Italy we're all more or less under "house arrest", so apart from going out for groceries or medicine, we are all home. That leaves more time than usual for photo stuff, so here you go...

Instead of starting a new thread, I thought I'd just add on here for anyone interested in this combo. I'm very happy with it, all in all.

It doesn't in any way *replace* the Merrill trio, but is a great all-rounder, and the convenience of stabilisation, optical viewfinder, great battery life and monster zoom range make it viable for outings in good light where photography isn't the main purpose.

Here's a set of snapshots from a week ago, just walking around near the sea at Forte dei Marmi (Lucca, Tuscany) -- more or less what a lot of people would use it for, I suspect.

Apart from color adjustments, they haven't been "worked" much. Like Sony files, they need to be massaged to get decent skin tones.

The moon shot is a composite, but from the same spot, taken seconds apart (so I could have the olive branch a little in focus). Impressive detail for full excursion, and iso640 to boot. The street scene at twilight is also better than the DP1M manages, and probably even with the DP2M (though is no match for the mighty little DP3M!)

ps File names reveal iso shutter and aperture settings. I don't remember how far I was standing from the moon when it passed....
