Well, most people cannot hear the difference between my stereo/HT system and a boombox.

LOL ain’t that the truth. One day the wife in her car driving me was streaming Pandora music and after a moment I said “do you have high quality audio turned off in Pandora settings?”

Blank stare.

i go to settings, yep it’s off, I turn in back on and advance to next song.

”See, isn’t that better? No more weird compression artifacts on the cymbals or snares. Doesn’t that sound a little better?”

She laughs and says it sounds the same but she knows im proud of myself.

I'm such a Luddite.  I listen to two radio stations (one AM and one FM) and music on my iPhone or a thumb drive.  Never bothered with satellite or streaming.  Satellite's fidelity was terrible and streaming used expensive data.  Both problems probably solved now, after I learned to live without them.
