I use the 16-80 with good results. Ideal range, and frankly I find f4 to be plenty fast as I don't want a razor-thin DoF. I'd rather deal with some noise from higher iso than having focus challenges. If you prefer wider then I think the 10-24 is a good choice. The advantage to the 16-80 is I can get nice isolation at the long end if I've got enough room where I'm shooting. I used it at an event last week and ended up needing as wide as possible due to the noisy room and not being able to lav or boom (used the Rode VideoMic NTG on-camera).
