When the 24-200 comes out, I would suggest looking into that one, as that will be a native lens, and a presumably a new lens design, although you will lose about a 1/2 stop on the long end and be limited to 200mm versus 300mm but I suspect at 200mm it will be better optically than the 70-300 AFP.

I couldn't agree more!

While my 70-300 performs decently, I'd much prefer to lose a little light and reach (it's an outdoor sports lens for me anyway) but gain the native and updated design. I can't imagine an older F lens on an FTZ adapter would outperform even a non S native lens...
