Near-Legendary

Let me start by saying this just might be the best buy camera of today.

I have owned aprox 15 canon digital cameras and i still presently have the 6D which is a favorite.

In the beginning, i had serious problems with the color/white balance of the RP. The colors were much too vibrant, yellow heavy and i was disappointed in the results. After several Canon updates i found that although not mentioned, the color seemed better to me. I very much like the color of the 6D and im happy to report that i am able to replicate the color and tone with the RP.  In addition, the RP also has a bit more punch when it comes to architecture shots or higher key images.

Having both, most of the time i will grab the RP. The difference in features is where it shines. Its difficult to shoot some wildlife shots with the 6D. The fixed LCD makes some shots difficult. The RP, of course, has the articulating screen, eye af, dual pixel, all of which makes getting a sharp photo easy.

There is slightly more noise present on the RP shots than the 6D. Not much, but its there. However small adjustments of noise reduction smooth out the luminance noise nicely, while leaving the important parts very sharp.

Ive captured a lot of very HQ images with the RP in various settings, and its enjoyable to use. Add to that the price and you have a near-legendary full-frame camera.
