Re: Sad Used Prices for EM-1 first edition

I was myself recently looking for an EM1 on the basis that flagship cameras are always better than also rans but in this case I found too many listed as faulty due to the unresponsive button or wheel failure mentioned above. It seems inevitable that any old mark 1 versions of that camera will suffer with that problem eventually. I was drawn to the camera by looking at Flickr images which seem great but I was too worried about the problems to take the plunge and buy one. I think later in the model release it was fixed but how can you tell if you had the right model which has the fix applied? I wanted to do my move on the cheap so went back to Lumix models instead. I also run the Fuji X system so it's doubtful I will now expand back into Olympus. Also I find their model structure difficult to understand. The base model, medium and flagship. It's difficult from the nomenclature to work out which model is which without extensive research
