I regard this thread as totally superfluous and a waste if time. The theme starte told with many, many text, that he does not need the OVF. But instead that he just does not use it, which would be reasonable, he starts to argue on and on. This seems to me, as I would argue with many text, that I do not need all 4 doors at my car, and that is a fault of the manufactorer, to sell me a car with 4 doors.

It's a pure academical discussion.

But sometimes people complain about things, which they could just let alone, only to have said something critical. Because critique shows, how experienced someone is.

I didn't write this thread to complain nor argue. I don't see where you are interpreting anything I have said as an argument aside from what I am writing this moment. I made an observation and I decided to mention it here to get some comments. I then added some more as I worked with the camera and noticed other things to mention. I simply concluded that I felt that the OVF was outdated and wanted comments. I actually received several agreeing with me. Yes, the discussion is and was meant to be purely academic.

Strange...I see many people critical of those who don't like a number of the many advances camera manufacturers have come up with such as the need for IBIS in wide angle lenses, and then I get criticized myself for embracing modern EVF tech over optical viewfinders.

BTW, your car analogy is a bad one as there is a utilitarian purpose for a 4 door car. The analogy I would use is in my situation would be the need (or lack thereof) for manual transmission when auto transmission has almost completely taken over the auto industry...for all but the diehards.
