Hello. I took the camera to go shooting with and there is no LED. I've replaced the batteries and the contacts look clean. I'm dreading to think what it could be... Any other ideas?

Hello David!

In case the camera is new to you, maybe you will want to try this...

Press the ISO and ADJ buttons simultaneously (they are located behind the door on the grip) and watch the top LCD panel, it should change its readings to 'CUST' and two numbers).

Turn the camera's front dial to change the 'CUST number' in the LCD panel. Turn the camera's back dial to change the bottom number in the LCD panel.

'CUST 14 1' will show the red AF LEDs in the view finder for 0,1 sec. when the shutter button is half pressed. 'CUST 14 2' will show the red AF LEDs' for 0,4 sec. when the shutter button is half pressed, and CUST 14 3' will show the red AF LEDs only when the AF button on the camera back is pressed (the shutter button will then not bring up the red AF LEDs).

Do you have a lens with an AF button on it? Then 'CUST 6 1' will give you AF lock and no red LEDs in the view finder when pressing the lens' AF button. 'CUST 6 2' will give you spot AF and no red LEDs in the view finder and 'CUST 6 3' will give you continuous AF and no red LEDs in the view finder.

Regards
