The Canon EOS R5 will have an SD & CFExpress slot [CR2]

That a "CR2" comment meaning it's from a good source but not from a confirmed source. But they are pretty good about getting things right. I'm mixed about having 2 different slots though.

For me, only shooting stills where card speed is not a huge deal for me, SD is fine but I know the video is what's driving the CFexpress. So I guess I would still shoot RAW to both and could download off the SD card and reformat both where the CFexpress card would never need to be removed. If my SD card failed I could always download directly from the camera where I wouldn't need a special card reader.

I think I would still like to see 2 CFexpress cards. Just bite the bullet and convert. Yes the CFexpress cards are crazy expensive now but that's temporary. But again, if I shoot 500 RAW images in a day that was a very busy day for me. A 2 week vacation I don't think I ever shot over 500-1000 images. I don't spray and pray, I compose.

Everyone hates when top Canon cameras come out and they are crippled in some way. But now a lot of people wants just that. 2xCFE is a way to go if you need a backup and fully use the camera.
