The Metering Switch on the X-T1/2/3
3

I noticed a couple of people complaining that Fuji had dropped the metering switch on the X-T4, replacing it with a stills/video switch.

I was amazed, as it seemed to me the switch was completely pointless and I only ever adjusted it by mistake.

Given this is a mirrorless camera, isn't the easiest metering strategy to look at what appears in the EVF, then use the exposure compensation dial to adjust it to what you want to achieve? Or in full manual, adjust the other parameters to do the same thing?

Or have I been missing something all these years...
