I am VERY much interested in the responses/experiences here between these two ideas. I already own the fantastic Fringer Pro II, and have contemplated picking up the 18-35mm (I also don't care that much about the extra reach even though it's nice). I also like being able to have a lens that I can use on other systems if I so wish (Canon and Nikon Z50 are other branches that can be explored using the Sigma 18-35mm) so there is merit in that as well.

I haven't tried the Fujifilm 16-55mm yet, but from every report I've ever heard it's fantastic, the same of course goes for the Sigma. I am however trying the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 ART this weekend on my X-H1 (maybe the X-T1 and X-T2 as well if I don't sell the X-T2 by the weekend) and comparing it to the 56mm f/1.2 magic lens. At least I'm hoping to get a good test in between the two anyway haha.

I did forego the Fujifilm 10-24mm lens and instead picked up the Canon 10-18mm STM lens for my ultrawide stuff and I'm extremely pleased with it. It's super light, super sharp, super quick, and super cheap! I love Fujifilm glass (heck I love all glass haha), but I don't mind using adapted glass one bit if it makes sense.
