Hi,

I'm interested in getting either the fuji 16-55 or the 18-35 + finger EF-FX Pro. As far as I know I can get a used 18-35 + finger for a tad cheaper than a new 16-55. Now the thing is I'm also thinking about getting a 16 f/1.4, so I'm wondering about the redundancy with the 16-55. Also the additional 20 mm on the fuji are not that big of a plus for me, since I've got the 35mm+ focal lengths already covered with primes.

So my question is aimed towards anyone who has had the chance to test these lenses in this setup.

Thanks.

I own and use both the 16-55 & the 16/1.4. With the 16-55/2.8 and the 16/1.4 you have two of the finest lenses available for Fuji X-cameras, and with either of them you will get better performance than with your proposed adapted 18-35.

As far as FL redundancy due to the overlap with the 16/1.4 & the 16-55/2.8, the 16/1.4 has several qualities which differentiate it from the 16-55. Those include close focus capability, and the f/1.4 glass. That said, the 16-55 is truly a bag of f/2.8 primes, and matched with your X-H1 you will be hard pressed to find better lenses.

To my mind, using an adapted lens when either of those Fuji lenses is available is unthinkable.
