Very Very Very Early Impressions of Mark III...

You immediately think, I just paid $1,000 (when all is said and done) for the same camera.

No box redesign. Saving money here.

The camera looks like the Mark II except for a couple of buttons.

The camera feels a teeny bit lighter.

The grip's been improved as if it needed to be in the first place! You really can hold this thing comfortably with three fingers as you walk around (suggest wrist strap though).

It doesn't sound faster.

Same confusing and/or daunting menu system.

You can't get to the alternate "Super Control Panel" intuitively. I guess I'll have to dive into the manual.

Muscle memory definitely will be thrown off for a time. Menu button on the left side.

Nice. The ISO button.

The "joystick" works at least with the AF area.

No flash.

Realization sets in. I did just pay $1,000 (when all is said and done) for the same camera!

Least where I live I can commence shooting right away to get a little more enthused.
