How to use the Nik collection, Affiniy and TopazDenoise AI from within CaptureOne

This is for windows user, desperate to use the google nik collection and other apps like affinity or topaz denoise ai, from within Capture One. C1 does not use the adobe plugins, but calls the .exe instead.

Plugins and installed applications, C1 is able to use, are under preferences/plugins.

In case your application, like the nik collection, is not there, there is no option to add an application (.exe), just C1 compatible plugins. Close C1.

Instead use the file explorer and right click on a tiff file, ...open with/....choose another app/..more apps/...look for another app on this pc. Locate the applications exe file and click. It starts once with this application. Close the app.

The next time C1 is opened the app is under allowed applications in preferences/plugins.

Now a right click on an image within C1, offers the possibility to edit with, or open with these applications.

It's actually logic. Photoshop or Affinity are looking for Adobe compatible plugins.

Capture one is lokking for graphics applications. It only can load apps that have been referenced as graphic apps under windows before.
