35mm or 50mm prime for first lens

Ok I will preface this with .. some of you guys are playing with some pricey hardware so my question may offend!!

I just replaced my X30 (great camera) with an X-t100. Mostly I missed being able to use primes. I am retired now and those big paychecks arent coming once a week so I want to keep playing but on a budget.

I am looking hard at the Meike 50mm 2.0 or the Meike 35mm 1.7

I am leaning toward the 35 for its compactness and because I think its a 35mm equiv to 50 with in the day was a nice walk around for me. I travel mostly by motorcycle and I dont know that I have a particular photographic subject bent.

Does anyone have any strong feelings on which I should get first or .. maybe "they suck and I shouldnt get either. I am happy with the 14-45 kit lens for quality but would like to shoot primes again

Fujifilm X30
