I finally bought a D850
3

Used, it's true, but low miles.  About those pricey XQD cards:

I know I should just buy more capacity than I would ever use but that sure adds to the cost of the camera I just bought (will receive it tomorrow).  As it is, I have more CF and SD cards than I've ever needed but now I'm just down to the SD cards that will work in the D850.  And one 32 GB XQD that I snagged on ebay.

Besides the fact that my SD cards are UHS-I and top out at 95 mb write speed, is there anything else I should know about defaulting to just a UHS-I SD card as the only card in the camera--if I'm out shooting and run out of space on the 32 GB XQD.

I've read all the threads here about "why would you want to use some slow SD card etc etc" but let's just say it might happen that way.  I'm guessing it would just be a slow write-to-card experience but is there anything else I should know?
