Areas indicated by white borders in the monitor: What are these?

When I zoomed into my cityscape photo in the monitor, I noticed two areas indicated by white borders, as seen below. Any idea what these areas mean?

Upon checking the manual, it says "Faces (up to 35) detected during zoom are indicated by white borders in navigation window.", but these are clearly not faces.

Thank you for your advice!
