Firmware 3.0 tracking & BBF AF-on .. not switch to AFS anymore ?

All

I am confused by the description in some press articles about the focus tracking activation with the new firmware vs the usual usage of BBF ( press for AFC, not press & you have AFS) when the press describes:"Half-pressing and holding the shutter button (or pressing AF-ON) while in AF-C mode will activate tracking, and when no longer held down the tracking will stop. When this happens, the focus point will revert to its original position."

Does this mean that instead of AFC / AFS with BBF on AF-on I have now always AFC , once with tracking & once without but not AFC/AFS function anymore ?

Could somebody please clarify how to set up AF tracking by maintaining the BBF via AF-on for fast switch between AFC and AFS ?

Thanks in advance.
