A not-ugly DSLR exists?
12

Hi
Looking through the contemporary DSLR offerings I am struck by the downright ugliness of most cameras.

Why do most manufacturers insist on passing a deformed plastic blob for a camera? It's ok for professional high-end DSLR - after all they need to optimise function over form - a tractor also doesn't need to be pretty. However a Porsche or BMW does need to be pleasing to the eye. So why are consumer DSLR so ugly?

It's a mystery to me because especially photographers have keen interest in asthetics.

Pentax seems to be the only manufacturer who makes at least some attempt to design their DSLRs. Any other I missed?

End of rant.

Thanks for any hints on pretty DSLRs!

Asthetics disclosure: I am using an OMD E-M5 currently.
