Digital version of the Yashica T4, for example.

There are a number of (very nice) AF compact full frame, fixed lens film cameras that keep appreciating in price. Examples include Contax T3, Yashica T4, Olympus Stylus Epic, and many others from every manufacturer.

Interestingly, today's camera manufacturers have not noticed this, and have not introduced a single (full frame) digital camera for this market. The closest digital camera in this arena is the Sony RX1 series which is over $3000.

If a well-known manufacturer made a compact $1000 full frame, fixed lens, compact digital camera, wouldn't it sell like crazy? The camera does not need to be as full-featured as the Fuji X100 series. Perhaps the camera makers are missing the boat, but as long as there is film, these nice film cameras will keep on selling for $$$.
