Sigma 50-500 four thirds lens clicks during AF?

I purchased a used 50-500 on eBay and the package was badly damaged by USPS- the lens looks fine but it clicks when it focuses- is this normal for the FT version of this lens? I've had a few of these Bigma's (Canon & Nikon versions) and none made noise as this does but this seems like an older version and perhaps clicks are normal- what do you guys/gals think?

(Does Sigma still service these lenses?)

Note: the AF works but takes a second to "Green Box" confirm AF on EM1.
