Canon EF 70-200mm F4 IS USM II vs Tamron 70-200mm F2.8 G2

Have the EOS RP and M6 cameras and thinking in buying a 70-200mm.

As the RF 70-200mm is too expensive for an amateur photographer like me, and I want to use the lens on both of my cameras, was looking at Canon EF 70-200mm F4 IS USM II or the Tamron 70-200mm F2.8 G2 as I can get both at similar prices.

My question is, which one would be better? Pros and cons for each of them on the RP? Not really into portrait or indoors photography and will be used mostly outdoors, for landscape and wildlife.

Can I use a teleconverter on this, RF to EF and then add the teleconverter? What are the experiences if anyone tried it?
