HDR v Tonemapping

I keep reading posts here, and on other web sites, about the 'evils' and 'dislike' of HDR.

Time to put the foot down, draw a line in the sand, spit the dummy or whatever.

When will people stop using the term HDR and realise that they are actually talking about tonemapping?

We hear from so many 'experts' about the pros and cons of HDR yet those same 'experts' keep referring to tonemapping as HDR. These so called 'experts' have been around long enough to know the difference. Or have they?

STOP it. I can't take it no more. It's TONEMAPPING NOT HDR.

Back into my box.

I thought I made a mistake once. But I was wrong!
