$8 for a replacement base does suggest how cheap these cameras are being made. I doubt that the Olympus part will be as cheap

I wonder if they will make spare body parts available to sell to camera owners

I'm not sure it's something they wanna encourage given the process involved in replacing it for the E-M5 III, but I would be highly curious what their response to the owner with a cracked mount will be. I've heard quite a few positive service and repair stories but they also have some horror stories on that end as well, what was their response to Lee in the earlier thread about this? I've yet to go thru it...
