17mm f1.2 Pro vs Z 35mm f1.8
16

Just when I thought Nikon were on to something...

Z 35mm f1.8 is decent by Lenstip standards (usable) to the edges on FF from about f2.5

Z 35mm f1.8

The Olympus Pro is decent from wide open

Oly Pro f1.2 17mm

So the Pro has 2 stops more usability across the frame... f1.2 vs f2.5... that uses up the FF advantage. Vignetting on the Z is also massive wide open on FF (really dark corners) but minimal in the Pros case.

Size and weight is about the same and the Z is a little cheaper, although the Pro can regularly be found much cheaper on a promotion.

So, for me, no advantage over m43. I was thinking the Z 1.8 primes would be knockouts.

M43 equivalence: "Twice the fun with half the weight"
"You are a long time dead" -
Credit to whoever said that first and my wife for saying it to me... Make the best you can of every day!
