Right, that's my understanding, but that is more than can be done on the GX8.  I would love to be able to do just that on my GX8!

On my Sony, as long as the hard dial is set at zero, you can use your index finger (or thumb) dial to readily adjust EV. [The analog dial would still be active - that is what i would like on GX9]

Am I not right?

Sorry, I didn't mean to respond regarding that particular capability on the Sony, which I know nothing about.  I'm sure you're right about that camera.
