I don't like fablets. I'd rather carry a pocketable phone that can make a phone call, maybe be a smart phone. I want to pick up a table when I need a screen. It's what I do now. I don't like a big flat phone and I don't like a small phone because the screen isn't big enough. A PEN is comfortable in my hand. I like a standard wireline handset. Maybe I would like a $1,000 PEN M43 camera or a 1" camera that has a cell phone in it.

I'm no engineer. I don't know what's possible. A digital camera is already a computer with a microphone. It can have a speaker and a cell radio. A cell phone is already a camera phone.

Its a packaging exercise.

Phone makers added a camera. Can camera makers add a smart phone? Probably not but in collaboration with a cell phone maker. Maybe. They have the technology between them. The cell phone camera company has all the technology but no interchangeable lenses or lens mount.

Panasonic tried something like this but people were not ready to spend $1,000 on such a product. Maybe it wasn't the right product design, features, functions. If I remember correctly it was just a cell phone with a big camera sensor (for a phone).

Maybe people are ready now that they spend $1,000 on a cell phone.

I'm just dreaming. I don't know that its impossible. I also don't know if it would sell.
