Not yet, but of course I will try it. I suppose the filter could have fogged up with outgassing from the plastics in the camera (new car fogged window syndrome).

Oh looky here! I have a polarizing filter I continue to forget I have! My my my, the interior definitely had an unwanted film of some sort on the inside. A good washing on both sides fixes that problem.

The Sony filter is about as transparent as they come.

Three frames (shot in my shadowy office) without anything, with the Sony filter, and polarizing filter added. The first two have no effect on a particularly dark shadow. Add the polarizer and... not really awful, but definitely a touch lighter. Note to self: leave polarizer in bag for now. Find one that doesn't cost 10% of the camera's value.
