All ILC markets are shrinking due to technology headroom reducing and therefore lengthening product lives.  Competition from phones is still advancing but arguably has limited impact on systems targeted on action and sport (see Olympus stated market).

I meant something much narrower than all ILCs.  There is obviously overlap with APSC and FF but it’s not credible to suggest that all MFT owners will switch to say FF unless say Olympus meets a specific set of expectations.  Equally they cannot afford the development and marketing costs of a major shift away from FF.

Whether their strategy will succeed is unknowable, but it’s not obviously wrong.  I’m going to make my personal judgement based on how optically excellent the 12-45 Pro is.
