A high speed adapter with control ring would be very cool. But, not knowing why the high speed function requires RF mount in the first place, such a thing may not even make sense.

Canon's way pushing users to the RF mount. Sony has a similar tactic by slowing down framerate and not allowing PDAF for video.

Are you saying it's an artificial limitation?  I was under the impression that it wasn't, but, like I said, I'm not sure why it is.
