Whilst the kids were shopping next door in H&M
1

I was in a lovely camera shop yesterday, drooling over all the cameras and lenses they had on display whilst the kids were next door in H&M.  There are some really nice mirrorless camera systems these days that were not available when I started my mirrorless Journey in 2010.  They had a very complete selection of Fuji lenses, which looked very nice Indeed….probably the system I would most likely switch to if Oly/Pany ever stopped making the sort of cameras I like.

I have got so used to M43 lenses that even the Fuji APC lenses seemed huge by comparison.  It is true that Oly and Pany have not been releasing small lenses recently, concentrating more on their pro-lenses (gosh that 10-25mm/F1.7 is huge).  And I see absolutely no value in using M43 with larger than necessary Sigma/ lenses that have been designed for an APSC image circle.  But, there really are some nice small lenses in the M43 lineup that leave other systems looking somewhat over-sized.  The Oly 17mm F1.7, the Loawa 7.5mm F2 and the pany 12 - 32mm zoom are just a few examples.

My only gripe with Olympus is they don't have a kit zoom to match the tiny pany 12-32mm (both in 12mm FL and manual zoom), so it is difficult for Oly users to get this lens cheaply.
