Thanks , all good points and nice wish list. I don't know about the physics involved, though. in producing a quality pancake in the M43 format.

You are contemplating the jump from M43 to Fuji, me from Fuji to M43. I used to always have a camera with me for 10 years. Convenience became my number one consideration. I found the results of the Nikon 1 astonishingly good for its size, and the short focal lengths' good depth of field combined with very fast AF gave hardly any out of focus shots.

I hope to find in M43 a Nikon 1 system with better IQ. Expanding on your point about size, I see Olympus are only developing cameras the size of an FF camera. I suspect that has little mass appeal. An upgraded E-M10 style camera with mild sealing woud be more appealing and in line with their philosophy. I am no authority on the camera market, though, so without serious research these 'common sense' statements may have little value.
