Macro f/32 vs f/22 DOF advice

I am about to choose between two macro 105mm lenses that i need for handheld dental photography which means i need the widest DOF possible, and will be using it therefore i guess fully closed down.

One has maximum f/22 (and stabilization) and the other is f/32 and is lacking stabilization.

I lean towards the stabilized lens as i suspect stabilization is maybe essential as the dentist user is not experienced and also will often hold the camera with one hand although i understand that the stabilization performance at macro level is reduced?

I am concerned though about the f/22 DOF as i saw that all the sample pics the dentist showed me are all shot at f/32.

Talking about 1 - 2.3 distance on the macro scale and is a full frame body.

Is the f/32 DOF similar enough to f/22 at those distances to dismiss it?

Thank you!
