Photometric Calculator

HI All!

I'm intending to shoot a low key short clip of some dancers inspired by a scene from Wasted on the Youth (DOP: Dan Freene ACS- see screen shots below).

I'm looking for a way of calculating the power requirements of lights for purchase (I have my eye on the Godox VL300 - 300W COB LED ) and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a brand agnostic equivalent of the Arri Photometric Calculator?

It would be sweet to be able to enter my own beam angle and lumens/lux output to figure exposure! Otherwise another lux > EV > exposure calc is required.

My intention is to modify the daylight balanced, 5600K light with a Godox 120cm x 74.2cm (W x D) deep parabolic softbox which gives a beam angle of 58.27°. I've attempted to figure this out with the Arri calc, and it appears to be telling me that I'm looking good to film in slo-mo at f/1.8 with a native ISO of 800 using a 200W LED panel at 1 meter, dimmed to 5%.

Could someone please take a look at these numbers below and let me know if this approximation is correct?

With photography and strobes I already own, I would just use experience to approximate, and then take measurements with a light meter. Regarding lighting for film, I cannot take such liberties so wanted to make an informed guesstamation with a few calculators and hopefully learn something along the way.

Many Thanks!

Bruno
