Hey everyone,

I'm just getting into Astrophotography and I've been very happy with the RedCat 51 mounted to an iOptron SkyGuider Pro. I wanted something with a bit more reach, so I just got the Williams Optics Z61, which seems to be the largest scope you can mount on the SkyGuider.

After mounting the Z61 to the counter weight bracket, I find that I cannot fully rotate the tracker's chuck without having the camera/scope hit my tripod:

Z61 + Flattener + Canon 6D on SkyGuider Pro

Rotation causes camera to hit center column

Has anyone else encountered this issue before? I've seen many people post that they have this setup, and no one mentioned rotational issue, so I assume I'm missing something obvious. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Do your imaging sessions often last longer than 15 continuous hours? If not, I'd suggest you set up just clear of the tripod at the start of the run.
